We invite you to walk with Jesus Christ and attend services at Zion Congregational Church. Our men, women, and youth ministries provide different opportunities to enrich your personal lives as we serve the Lord. Join us for Christ centered services of prayer and devotion.

We would like to welcome our new pastor and his family.

Adam and Missy, along with their two daughters, Rylie (4) and Addyson (1), moved to Treynor on June 5th.  Prior to accepting the call at Zion, Adam was the pastor of Fairfax Christian Church in Fairfax, Missouri.  Adam received his Masters degree from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa.  He did his undergraduate work at St. Olaf College in St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, majoring in religion.  Missy has a degree in elementary education, obtained from the University of Dubuque.  Adam has worked in many different denominations, as pastor, music director, various youth and elementary positions, chaplain, and has even had the opportunity to do some youth ministry consulting for churches.  He and Missy are excited to be in Treynor, and participate in God's mission and ministry for Zion Congregational Church.

Our Mission

The Zion Congregational Church of Treynor, Iowa binds together followers of Jesus Christ for the purpose of sharing in the worship of God, and in the making of his will dominant in the lives of persons, individually and collectively, especially as that will is set forth in the life, teachings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

About Us

OUR HISTORY

In 1901, the Free Evangelical Lutheran Zion Congregational Church of Treynor was founded with only thirty-eight members. Four acres of land was donated for the construction of a church, and with the help of Rev. Mr. Osthoff, what is known today as the Zion Congregational Church was organized. The church was built on a foundation of believing in the sacred right of the individual to worship the Lord God as revealed in His Holy Word and inspired by the Holy Spirit to the dictates of his heart. Today, the congregation builds upon the same principals on which it was created, and continues to provide Christian outreach and maintain a vital presence in the Treynor Community.
